Policy Overview

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Veterans Central Hub has specific policies regarding donation refunds. This policy explains when refunds may be available and how to request them.

Important Notice

When Refunds Are Available

We will provide full refunds in the following circumstances:

Payment Processing Errors

Unauthorized Transactions

Donations made without the donor's knowledge or consent (fraud protection).

Immediate Error Recognition

Donor-reported errors within 24 hours of the transaction with valid justification.

Legal Requirements

When required by law or regulatory authorities.

When Refunds Are NOT Available

Refunds will generally NOT be provided in these situations:

  • Change of Mind:Donor decides they no longer want to support the organization after making an intentional donation.
  • Financial Hardship:Personal financial difficulties arising after the donation was made.
  • Disagreement with Programs:Dissatisfaction with how funds are used or disagreement with organizational decisions.
  • Extended Time Period:Requests made more than 30 days after the donation date (except for fraud cases).

Monthly Recurring Donations

Special considerations for recurring monthly donations:

Cancellation vs. Refund

You can cancel future monthly donations at any time by contacting us. However, past monthly donations that have already been processed are subject to the same refund policy as one-time donations.

How to Cancel

Contact us at least 3 business days before your next scheduled donation to ensure cancellation takes effect before the next charge.

How to Request a Refund

If you believe your situation qualifies for a refund under our policy, please contact us immediately.

Time Limit

Refund requests must be made within 24 hours of the donation for processing errors, or immediately upon discovery of unauthorized transactions.

Tax Implications

Important Tax Information
If you receive a refund for a donation that you claimed as a tax deduction, you may need to amend your tax return or report the refund as income. Please consult with a tax professional for guidance specific to your situation.

We will provide updated tax documentation if refunds affect your charitable contribution records.
